What makes this sector different

Logistics runs on partial information. A scan is missed, a carrier feed lags, a driver goes through a dead zone. Systems that assume clean, ordered, complete data fall apart in week one. We build for eventual consistency, out-of-order events, and offline devices that sync later — because that is the actual operating environment.

The other reality is that nothing is greenfield. There is a TMS, a WMS, an accounting system, and a set of spreadsheets holding the gaps together. Most of the value is in integration and in the interfaces around those systems, not in replacing them.

Alberta operations add distance and weather to the mix. Field applications need to work on a phone in a yard in January, on a bad connection, with gloves on. That drives real design decisions about offline behaviour and touch targets.

Can you integrate with our existing TMS or WMS?

Usually, yes — through APIs, database access, scheduled file exchange, or EDI, depending on what the vendor exposes. We start by finding out exactly what integration surface your system offers, because that determines what is realistically possible before anyone designs around it.

Do you work with EDI?

Yes. EDI is old and awkward but it is what many carriers and large customers require, and we build translation layers that turn those documents into clean events your modern systems can consume.

Will the mobile app work without a signal?

It has to, so yes. We design offline-first for field and warehouse applications: work is captured locally and synced when connectivity returns, with conflict rules agreed up front rather than resolved by whoever syncs last.

How do you handle real-time tracking at volume?

Event streaming rather than polling. Position and status updates flow through Kafka to whatever needs them — customer portal, billing, alerting — so adding a consumer later does not mean adding load to the source system.
